Yes, we welcome you back again to another action-packed episode of the Bare Naked Truth Podcast, and we have another Cuzzin who sat down with us....M$. Blendz, a Virginia Legend who made history by becoming the first female DJ at 103 Jamz, a major radio station in Virginia. We are honored that she took time out of her busy schedule to talk with us. And in true BNTPODCAST fashion, we didn't hold and punches. We first went back over the history of M$. Blendz and how she got started at the radio station. She also took us on the journey of how she went from radio to a talent Scout for the Aframfest, which was the biggest festival on the east coast during its time, to also working with independent hip hop and R&B artist.
We also dove deep on the return of the Blendsville Awards, which is an award show that highlights the independent artist in the Tidewater Region of Virginia. But as you all know, we didn't stop there. We even tried to throw a few curb balls when we asked questions about social media being part of the demise of hip-hop, female rap rap being too sexually aggressive, and how to categorize and artist, who doesn't identify as their born gender.
We also spoke about unity in hip-hop and if artists from particular areas should unify in order to make it big in music.
